Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions including billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries. Being an Accounting Clerk assists in completing moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. How you will make an impact- Daily Administrative and office tasks.
- Perform general accounting tasks, reconciliations and assist month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
- Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed
- Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices
- Daily deposits and expense reports
- Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
- Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- Adeptness in Administrative Assistance
- Strong familiarity with Bank Deposit
- Demonstrated knowledge of administrative experience
- Check Deposit experience
- Process Payments experience required
- Process Payments experience desired
- Cash Deposits experience
- Outstanding data entry skills
- Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
