Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days in office/2 days remote)
JOB PURPOSE:
Management and supervision of several members of the accounting team. Work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure the timely completion of month-end closing procedures and other accounting tasks.
Perform all accounting responsibilities, as described below, related to general accounting and financial statement functions, including reconciliations, income statement analysis, journal entries, and monthly/annual accounting functions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and manage several members of the accounting team:
-
Establish goals and objectives for each team member and monitor progress
-
Supervise the activities of direct reports within the accounting team.

Provide training and development of accounting personnel.
-
Provide management of personnel issues relating to schedule conflicts, performance issues, etc.

Review journal entry transactions, reconciliations, and account variance explanations.

Accounting-related responsibilities:
-
Assist the Accounting Manager in ensuring all department and company financial deadlines are met.

Prepare/review journal entries and reconciliations with supporting documentation for several account types, including but not limited to accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, leases and equity.

Assist the accounting team with the monthly income statement analysis.

Support the Accounting Manager and Controller in ensuring a clean and timely annual audit.

Act as main point of contact for 3rd party tax preparers, including assembling and providing the needed data on a monthly basis to support the preparation of regulatory filings.

Assist and support the Accounting Manager with preparation of schedules and special projects.

Assist in the ERP and CPM implementations.

Other Ad hoc accounting projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

4 years related work experience, with some public accounting experience preferred, but not required.

Supervisor/manager experience preferred, but not required.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

CPA highly desired.
-
Proficiency with ERP systems and CPM tools.

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups).

Familiarity with Power BI preferred.
