Accounts Payable Clerk supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts payable department. Reviews purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed. Being an Accounts Payable Clerk records and processes payments for vendor invoices in accordance with internal accounting policies and oversees payment schedules. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. Additionally, Accounts Payable Clerk responds to vendor inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies in billings and payments. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounts Payable Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Kelly Services is actively looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk for a 6 - 12 month assignment with one of our top clients based in Muskegon, MI.
Pay rate $18/hour benefits
Perform daily Finance AP Clerk duties including, but not limited to: Oversee the AP process
• Complete the AP Process for invoices received that are non-inventory
• Print and email invoices to customers
• Compile, process, and distribute the check run for the organization
• File all invoices after they are processed, or those invoices not emailed directly to AP
mailbox, scanning them and sending in order for them to be processed in P2P by ICC
• Review activity posted to IC statements. Review and communicate any actions needed
• Additional Finance Support as needed
• Maintain a professional image when communicating with internal customers and external
suppliers
• Provide timely assistance to finance team on accounts payable/finance special projects
• Coordinate with KOCG Operations Supervisor, Manager or Director, as required
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by Kelly Services management
Qualifications
• Intermediate Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Must be highly organized and be able to work independently
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• High school diploma is required
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite is required
