The Ohio Department of Development is seeking an experienced financial professional to lead the procurement and accounts payable functions in the Finance division.
Reporting to the Assistant CFO, you will supervise three staff responsible for accounts payable and procurement functions. Primary functions include reviewing and approving all requisitions and expenditure transactions for Development including vouchers, travel expenditures and payroll files, as well as collaborating with programs areas to determine procurement needs. 1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related course of study OR equivalent work experience.
2. Previous experience in purchasing / procurement / sourcing with responsibility for reviewing requisitions, writing invitations to bid, evaluation supplier response, communicating with suppliers, and awarding contracts required.
3. Working knowledge of the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System Financials Module (OAKS-FIN) required.
4. Prior experience in using accounting formulas in excel spreadsheet application software required.
5. Knowledge of State of Ohio procurement processes (MBE/EDGE requirements, RFP’s, ITB’s, etc.) required.
6. Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting system (i.e. how to run standard reports, etc.).
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
8. Supervisory/management experience preferred.
