Overview
**JOB SUMMARY:**
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for assisting the Accounting Supervisor with correctly billing clients for time and materials, verify and record revenue transactions, and resolve account discrepancies.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Extended hours of work may be required as job duties demand.- LOCATION:** Anchorage, AK
- SCHEDULE:** M-F, 8am-5pm
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**- Prepare bi-weekly payroll billing, monthly lease and equipment billing, and additional billing for other materials and services provided to clients
- Email/Upload invoices to clients accurately, ensuring all requirements are met for timely payment on invoices
- Record payments in the accounting system and maintain payment remittance information
- Interact with clients to resolve invoice discrepancies as needed
- Update client accounts based on contact information
- Use data and facts in order to make day-to-day decisions and involves others as needed
- Recognize what might be a problem and inform those who can correct it
- Ensure work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Make a consistent effort to get results
- Identify steps needed in order to carry out work as required
- Listen to others and ask questions to learn about what is needed
- Communicate the right information to co-workers when they need it, in a respectful and professional manner

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and scanners
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
Qualifications
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**- High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Adobe, and advanced Excel experience
- Bookkeeping Experience
- Two Years Accounting Experience
