    Job Overview

    We are seeking a proactive and organized Business Development Manager to join our Southeast team. This role involves collaboration with the Regional Manager and other team members to support significant sales initiatives, design and implement comprehensive regional water management programs, and provide ongoing support to enhance our customer relationships and operational success. This fully remote position ideally suits candidates based in Northern Virginia, Baltimore, MD, or Washington, D.C., but allows for flexible working arrangements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

    Identify and capitalize on opportunities for sales and account growth.

    Develop and manage detailed water management programs and oversee client-specific water testing protocols.

    Present tailored proposals to both potential and current clients, clearly differentiating our services from competitors.

    Engage in regular client support communications to understand and address their needs effectively.

    Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to team strategy.

    Maintain a comprehensive understanding of water system infrastructures and water chemistry to effectively consult and lead client discussions.

    Skills And Qualifications

    Strong foundation in building water systems, including knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, chiller systems, and related energy efficiencies.

    Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

    Effective interpersonal skills with a knack for fostering and maintaining professional relationships.

    Proficient in delivering presentations and facilitating meetings.

    Self-starter with a resilient, positive attitude and the ability to work independently.

    Committed to ethical standards and diversity in the workplace.

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences; fields such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Microbiology are preferred.

    1-5 years of relevant experience; prior experience in water-related fields and customer-facing roles is advantageous.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Gmail, and various Google applications.

    Work Environment and Travel

    This role requires regular local travel to client sites primarily within a one-hour radius, and occasionally up to three hours. Some overnight stays may be necessary.

    Typical dress code includes business attire; however, PPE is required when necessary.

    The role involves significant movement, including walking, climbing, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
