Office Assistant - 20 hours / week (12 : 30PM-4 : 30PM)

The Gathering Place (Brattleboro Area Adult Day Services) is an Adult Day program serving Windham County Vermont. We serve adults with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities.

Our participants enjoy music, arts, games, exercise, and companionship - just to name a few!

We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Assistant . In this role, you will provide administrative support to our program staff and management.

Responsibilities include :

• Mailings and fundraising related activities, thanking donors.
• Process enrollment paperwork and follow up on missing items.
• Use social media and marketing software to help promote TGP.
• Answering phones and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
• Preparing documents and data entry. Preparing packets.
• Supporting Executive Director and Program Director with administrative tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, and have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Computer skills are required - you will be working with products such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc) and Outlook, marketing software, social media and various web-based programs.

Schedule : 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday 12 : 30pm-4 : 30pm. Afternoon hours are preferred, but schedule may be flexible for the right candidate.

Additional hours may be available / requested for staff coverage or during busy periods.

Rate of pay : $15.50 depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Prior experience in an office support role preferred.

Entry-level candidates who can demonstrate they have the necessary skills to perform the duties of the position and have a sincere interest in working with older adults and adults with disabilities are welcomed.
