Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Duties may include customer service, answering phones, fueling and towing aircraft, light cleaning, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Full-time position requires nights, some days, and weekends.
Pay based on experience. Additional compensation for on-call shifts.
Valid driver’s license required. Must be able to pass background check. Candidate must be 18 or older and able to lift 50 pounds without assistance, climb ladders, and drive a manual transmission. Must be able to bend, kneel, and squat. Exposure to hazardous chemicals, machinery, noise, and all types of weather conditions is expected. The ideal candidate would be dependable, reliable, and able to work productively unsupervised. No experience required. Will train.
