Aircraft Painter jobs in Connecticut
Aircraft Painter applies pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled aircraft or parts. Prepares surfaces for painting and protects painted surfaces from erosion. Being an Aircraft Painter requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Painter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. - Perform surface preparation on aircraft and component parts.
- Apply primer / topcoat / final spray.
- Perform touch ups as needed.
- Polish painted surfaces for finished appearance.
- Install sealant and erosion tape.
An ideal Aircraft Painter would have the following
- Minimum 4 years experience on corporate aircraft's or 6 years on automotive.
- You have basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials.
- You have demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
