Reporting directly to the Executive Director of the OSU Alumni Association, the Director, Membership and Revenue Development, leads the alumni association’s efforts to increase membership gifts and enhance revenue through business partnerships and marketing strategies. This position will execute and evaluate a complex set of Membership solicitations and will use digital analytics tools, predictive modeling, segmentation, and other data-driven techniques to ensure communications are personalized, timely and consistent and annual giving goals are achieved. This position will be hired at a .7 Full Time Equivalent (FTE).

Major Duties
Membership 70%:
Develop and execute an integrated multi-channel marketing plan for all OSUAA Membership solicitations that includes digital, social media, phone, and print strategies. Collaborate with stewardship and annual giving partners to ensure a coordinated and cohesive membership marketing plan.
Implement a data-driven Membership solicitation plan. Determine appropriate marketing segmentation, track progress, report and evaluate results, and redirect tactics to improve outcomes. Monitor results to make changes to increase performance metrics such as membership retention, acquisition, upgrades, and return on investment.
Develop and interpret Membership reports.
Develop and oversee a budget for the membership program to match the integrated marketing plan.
Use predictive modeling, social media mining, and other digital analytics and “listening” tools to target membership audiences with the right messages, using the right vehicles, at the right time, to increase the effectiveness of solicitations.
Collaborate with the Advancement Communications and Digital Strategy teams to create compelling and personalized solicitations that move prospective and current donors through a donor journey that results in increased giving. Tailor messaging, design elements, and videography/animation to audience segments to increase effectiveness.
Work with key partners and other constituencies to plan and execute giving solicitations in support of university strategic priorities, and targeted constituencies such as parents, recent graduates, and students.
Develop a comprehensive solicitation calendar to ensure all solicitations and stewardship communications sent on behalf of Annual Giving, OSU colleges, and Athletics are coordinated and planned appropriately.
Negotiate contracts and manage partnerships with external vendors, including direct mail and printing houses. Manage vendors to produce highly segmented, customized direct mail appeals with complex variables.
Develop and manage partnerships with organizations to offer member exclusive opportunities and events.
Build a portfolio of best practices and emerging marketing trends to assist with better solicitation practices based on national data, member wishes, and/or member trends to achieve program goals.
Provide mass solicitation consulting services to constituencies as needed.
OSUAA Revenue 30%:
Develop and enhance productive affinity business partnerships to produce sustainable revenue streams for the association.
Create a comprehensive rolling 12- 36-month strategic revenue plan for all of OSUAA to maximize revenue both with current and newly identified revenue streams.
Continual identification of improvements to current models while finding and vetting 2-4 new revenue models per year.
Implement and execute rolling strategic revenue plan including key milestones and revenue reporting.
