Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Overview:
The Clinical Director is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operation and oversight of the Center. The management spectrum covers planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, resource allocation, cost controls, and compliance.
Duties:
- Coordinate and supervise all activities within the operating room
- Oversee surgical procedures to ensure adherence to protocols and safety measures
- Manage operating room staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Implement and enforce infection control policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with experience in procedures and/or operating room, PACU, or Pre-Admission in a endoscopic or surgical setting. Prefer one year of management experience in ambulatory care.
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:
A current license from the State. Current BCLS certification
