Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Provide management oversight to the daily operations and implementation of strategic and operational plans for assigned clinics.
Provide supervision and direction to the customer service, sales, and billing and operations staff.
Complete administrative tasks such as payroll entry, PTO approvals, tracking attendance points, reimbursement requests, verifying charges, monitoring adherence to budget and ordering supplies.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the clinic activity, partnering with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
Ensure a focus on clinical patient service and maintaining a high degree of patient care at the clinic.
Ensuring that patients and companies have the best experience possible and respond quickly to resolve complaints.
Work jointly with the Operations Manager/Director in the operation of the clinic site in responding to both clinical and managerial needs.
Assist Clinical staff as needed including helping with triaging as needed and collecting and properly documenting DOT and non-DOT Drug Screens Chain-of-Custody. Perform breath alcohol testing as needed in accordance with policy and Federal Regulations.
Enter DOT physicals into the National Registry and simultaneously complete all tasks on 3 EMR systems- Agility, EPIC Urgent Care, Epic Ambulatory

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED - Required
Associate's Degree in Nursing/Patient Care, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration - Required
5 years In Lieu of Associate's degree, 5 years' experience in ambulatory clinic setting - Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required - OR - must be obtained with 90 days of hire
Department of Transportation (DOT) - Required
Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) - Required
