Annuities Supervisor (New Business) supervises a group of Annuities Representatives responsible for handling the needs of new applicants. Ensures compliance with all regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations which pertain to annuities applications. Being an Annuities Supervisor (New Business) is responsible for handling the more complicated client service issues such as contract exceptions or complaints referred by staff. May be responsible for developing or improving annuities application processes in order to facilitate the acquisition of new business. Additionally, Annuities Supervisor (New Business) requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Annuities Supervisor (New Business) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Annuities Supervisor (New Business) typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Prevention and early intervention strategies are implemented through the Department's local Public Health Offices and contracts with community providers.
The health care system is strengthened through Department activities including contracted Primary and Rural Health care services, school-based health centers, Emergency Medical Services, Scientific Laboratory services, Vital Records and Health Statistics.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum Qualification

This position exists to ensure the delivery of pharmaceutical services by ordering and maintaining adequate levels of medications and medical supplies to support clinical services to 46 Public Health offices, provider agreement sites and Opioid prevention site statewide.
How does it get done?
Key responsibilities for this position include the ordering medications and medical supplies for the following PHD programs, Family Planning, sexually transmitted disease, Tuberculosis, Harm Reduction, WIC Women infant & children, Maternal health and the Bureau of Health and Emergency management.
Maintaining adequate levels of inventory (medications and medical supplies) to ensure the delivery of pharmaceutical services to 46 Public Health offices, Provider Agreement sites and Opioid Prevention education sites statewide.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse operations, supervision of pharmacy technicians, and receiving and assigning of orders to the pharmacy technicians.
Who are the customers?
The customers are the citizens of the State of New Mexico seeking direct client services in Public Health offices, Provider agreement sites and Opioid Prevention Education sites statewide.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
