DESCRIPTION
Opening for a staff attorney (term law clerk) to conduct legal research and analysis for Judge Alexander S. Bokor, Third District Court of Appeal (starting date January-February 2025). The term position requires a commitment of eighteen months to two years.
Extension of the term or conversion from a term to permanent position may be possible upon mutual interest.
This job presents an opportunity to hone appellate research and writing skills, receive mentorship, and become an integral part of a supportive and convivial team. Applicants will be evaluated based on legal research and writing ability, critical thinking, academic accomplishment, knowledge of the law, and legal experience. The successful applicant will demonstrate character, independent thought, and the ability manage a caseload while communicating in a team setting and producing outstanding work product.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in the Florida Bar. Top 25% academic standing, journal membership, and appellate or other relevant legal experience demonstrating strong research and writing abilities preferred but not required.
SALARY
Starting annual salary is commensurate with years of experience in the practice of law after admission to the Florida Bar:
0-2 yrs.: $ 65,904
2-5 yrs.: $ 74,738
5 yrs.: $ 84,070
Graduating 3Ls and recent law school graduates will be hired at $65,904 annually.
