- Demonstrated competence in the use of computers and software applications
- Ability to establish working rapport with the internal and external customers using proper phone etiquette, business writing, and other effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn the MRC Global specific software
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to enter data accurately and efficiently
- Strong reasoning and reading skills
- Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others, report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.
- Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
- Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries.
- Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.- Data entry of carrier invoices through various points of the process
- Use of MRC Global specific software to research rejected invoices
- Review carrier statements
- Work various workflow queues within an imaging system
- Provide prompt responses to internal and external customer, vendor, and branch inquiries about freight invoices
- Participate in meetings and training opportunities to enhance and maintain personal and departmental knowledge
- Contribute to the quality process by learning new procedures and functions within the department as needed
- Perform other duties as required
