The Election Specialist (Clerical, Poll Worker Department) requires extensive customer service skills, excellent time management skills, proficient computer capabilities and the ability to successfully handle large workloads with time-sensitive deadlines. This position supports the poll worker team in the assignment of poll workers to polling locations and training classes and assists with the maintenance of polling place agreements including updates to contact information. Additional tasks may include administrative support to the Poll Worker Training Manager and other managers. Duties include data entry, filing. answering phones, scheduling tasks and communication with poll workers, voters and members of the public. A candidate for this position is required to effectively manage numerous forms, proof information and enter data, scan documents, and maintain accuracy of all information. The Elections Specialist works under the direction of the Poll Worker Coordinator.
This position is based in Sarasota, FL. Hours of work are between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., 1/2 or partial shifts are possible, 3-5 days per week, some weekends, and longer hours on election days. Can be flexible with time off.
