Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities- Conduct a variety of formal appraisals for both lending and non-lending purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Evaluate properties to determine current market values, adhering to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
- Conduct on-site visits, property inspections, and client interviews to gather necessary information.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices to deliver high-quality reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, lenders, and homeowners, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Certification in the state of residence is mandatory.
- Proficient analytical and research skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to producing high-quality reports within industry-standard turn times.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
