The assembler assembles components and fastens parts and subassembliesfor the gate fabrication process.
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassembliesif required.
Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions.
Troubleshootmalfunctions and call for repairs.
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies; place and expeditesupply orders and verify receipt of supplies.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Good work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to perform repetitive tasks for team success.
Flexibility and ability to adjust to customer requirements and changing environment.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a team environment as a self-motivated, collaborative team player, with minimal supervision.

High school graduate or equivalent.
2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to work in a shop environment with high noise level and exposure to dust, heat, and cold.
Prolonged periods performing repetitive tasks.
Must have good manual dexterity in order to assemble parts as directed.
Must have good hand and eye coordination.
Must wear steel-toed shoes.
Normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and normal hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).
Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 40 to 50pounds consecutively.
