REPORTING

The Museum Assistant (MA) reports to the Director of Operations, Lindsay Jones, and works Saturdays, 9:15-5:15 pm and Sundays as needed.

MUSEUM ASSISTANT (MA)

• The MA works with museum staff on Saturdays, assisting with front desk coverage, gallery maintenance, and birthday parties.
• The MA implements and supervises parties on Sundays with the Gallery Manager, assisting with daily operations at the Museum, including opening and closing, daily cleaning, and exhibit and building maintenance.
• The MA collaborates with Education and Gallery Managers on Friday Night Date Night Drop-off programs, interacting with children ages 4-10. These programs occur once per month.
• The MA supervises and supports children during gallery play.
• Covers the front desk when needed, greeting visitors, handling admissions, and selling and entering memberships.
• Assists museum staff in maintaining exhibits and tidying galleries as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidate should be organized and have an outgoing personality. Must enjoy working with children and be comfortable managing small groups of people. Educational instruction experience is an asset, but not required. College degree or college degree in progress preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends and around the holidays.
• Must be vaccinated against COVID.

HOURLY POSITION: $13/HR
