Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Business Administration typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. The Thomas H. Albinson II School of Business at West Virginia Wesleyan College seeks applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Business for the 2022-23 academic year. A Ph.D. in Accounting or a DBA is preferred; however, ABD will be considered, as will a combination of professional certifications and work experience in accountancy, finance, and/or higher education. The ideal candidate will also possess undergraduate teaching experience. Appointment to tenure track is possible if the qualifications of the successful applicant and the needs of the institution align.
Founded in 1890, West Virginia Wesleyan is a private residential liberal arts college located in the foothills of the Appalachians in Buckhannon, WV, named one of the “100 Best Small Towns in America.” The College is related to the United Methodist Church, with a curriculum committed to intellectual rigor, self-discovery, human dignity, mutual support, social justice, self-discipline, mental and physical wellness, the appreciation of diversity and the natural world, and the judicious use of resources.
