Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester.

Purpose: Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Liberal Arts Department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Available in the Administrative Assistant office to take messages in person and answer the phone
• Organizes and requests office materials for faculty and staff
• Collects and organizes data with the Administrative Assistant
• Reserves the Arts and Humanities Conference Room
• Assists with mailings for the Liberal Arts Department
• Assists with making copies and paper programs as needed
• Assists visitors or students with directional questions
• Aids the Administrative Assistant with event organization
• Operating computers, telephones, and MFD (Multi-Function Device: Printer, Copier, and Scanner)
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University
• Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and to deadlines
• Well organized, punctual, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Must be able to work well with others and independently.
• The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Offices or willing to learn
