Professor - Mathematics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Mathematics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    Teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses. Develop a substantial research program. Provide direction and effective leadership for M.S. and Ph.D. students. Engage in departmental, university, and scientific community service functions.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Doctoral degree, or a doctoral degree expected no later than July 2024 in Mathematics. Demonstrated success in research and a commitment to effective graduate and undergraduate teaching.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

    Focus in discrete mathematics and applied/computational mathematics.
