Assoc. Professor - Philosophy teaches courses in the discipline area of philosophy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Philosophy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Philosophy typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Tenure or Clinical Track faculty position in Anesthesiology within the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences at Oklahoma State University.
Academic Rank Will Be Commensurate With Experience And Qualifications.
Responsibilities include clinical instructional service and classroom instruction for veterinary students, support of house officer training programs, and scholarly work.
Exposure to animal diseases that may be transmitted to humans. Subject to animal scratches or bites. Exposure to chemicals and pharmaceuticals used in treatment of animals, medical waste, and animal feces, urine, blood, and vomit. Loud noises related to and large animal routine.
Must comply with mandatory rabies pre-exposure vaccine program.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
D.V.M. or Comparable veterinary degree
Residency training in Anesthesiology
Board certified in ACVAA (Anesthesiology)
Candidates qualified to take the ACVAA certification examination will also be considered.
Eligibility for faculty license in Oklahoma is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants must be able to obtain a faculty license from the Oklahoma Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
