Associate Dean of Continuing Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of continuing education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Continuing Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. As a Macramé Artisan and Instructor, you'll have the exciting opportunity to share your expertise and passion for the craft with students of all levels, nurturing their love for macramé and empowering them to create stunning pieces.
Responsibilities:
Craft Curriculum: Develop comprehensive and captivating lesson plans for macramé classes, tailored to beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners.
Lead Classes: Conduct hands-on workshops and demonstrations, covering various techniques such as knotting, weaving, pattern design, and finishing touches.
Demonstrate Techniques: Offer clear and detailed demonstrations of macramé techniques, ensuring students grasp and can replicate each step proficiently.
Qualifications:
Mastery of Macramé: Proficient in a variety of macramé techniques, including knotting, weaving, pattern creation, and embellishment. Extensive experience in crafting high-quality macramé pieces.
Teaching Background: Previous experience instructing or mentoring individuals in a workshop or classroom environment. Ability to communicate effectively and adapt teaching approaches to suit diverse learning styles.
Passion for Education: Genuine enthusiasm for imparting knowledge and inspiring others to explore and pursue their passion for macramé.
Organization and Communication: Exceptional organizational abilities to plan and coordinate class schedules, materials, and student advancement efficiently. Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing, are essential.
