Associate Human Resources Director directs the human resources staff that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Being an Associate Human Resources Director oversees processes and programs that support employees and company operations, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity. Additionally, Associate Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Associate Human Resources Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Associate Human Resources Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Are you a self-starter, seasoned Human Resources Leader that wants to join a growing healthcare company? We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our team at our home office in Northville, Michigan. Some ability to work from home 1 or 2 days per week. This position reports to and partners with the CEO.


    What we are looking for:

    • A hands-on human resources leader who has 5-7 years of experience leading

    the Human Resources function that includes employee relations, benefit program design, and payroll

    (Experience with ADP is a plus)

    • Prefer Long-Term Care or Health Care Industry experience but not required.
    • Has a customer service orientation and serves as an employee advocate.
    • Well organized and able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the company

    professionally.

    • Ability to manage various priorities in a fast-paced environment, willingness to jump in when needed.
    • Customer service orientation that can troubleshoot issues and provide common sense solutions.


    What’s Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
    • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in payroll and benefits management.
    • PHR or SPHR certification with payroll (CPP or CPE) and/or benefits certifications (CEBS) preferred.
    • In-Depth knowledge and experience in managing Multi-State and Federal FMLA, Short and Long-Term

    Disability, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment Claims processes.
