Professor - Accounting provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Accounting typically reports to a department head. Our department seeks an engaged colleague with a demonstrated commitment to a well-rounded education in business in a liberal arts context.
We seek a colleague with the capacity to reimagine an undergraduate accounting program through mentoring of undergraduate students, excellent teaching, and the support of student professional development.
Current teaching needs for the 24-25 academic year include intermediate accounting, cost accounting, auditing, taxation, and fundamental of accounting (intro-level course that combines financial and managerial accounting). In future years, other accounting courses/areas could be of need.
The Department offers degree programs in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Public Accounting, and Sport Management. These programs provide faculty an opportunity to collaborate with undergraduate students both in and out of the classroom.
