We are looking for an empirical researcher (f/m/d) to support various projects in labour market and education analysis.
The position is geared towards graduates with a bachelor's degree or higher in economics, econometrics, business administration, education, statistics, sociology, political science, or similar economic and social science programmes.
You will work with us on multiple projects and in an interdisciplinary manner. Therefore, you must be willing to familiarise yourself with new topics and methods with the support of our employees. An affinity for working with data is also important to us—experience with statistical programs and/or programming languages (Stata, SPSS, R, Python) is an advantage. As we usually speak English with our clients and internally, a good command of English is a prerequisite for employment.
We believe in modern and flexible working models. We are looking for employees who want to work between 30 and 40 hours per week. The desire to work fewer hours per week will never be interpreted negatively. Our employees can choose between working from home, our office in Munich or a hybrid solution, whereby an on-site introduction is advisable for new employees.
Your Tasks
- Support in the creation and preparation of data sets (in Excel and/or Stata)
- Background research on literature and data on various topics
- Report writing and editing of tables
- Preparation of figures and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor or higher in Economics / Social Sciences / Related Fields
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to familiarise yourself with new topics and software
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good knowledge of English
- Good knowledge of a programming language (e.g. Stata, SPSS, R, Python)
- Experience with empirical research will be an advantage
