Performs monthly and periodic compliance audits of all 340B activity at UMMMC including mixed settings, retail pharmacies and Contract Pharmacies along with 340B project work. Performs routine 340B operational analyses based on standard processes. 340B is a Federal drug pricing program operated by the Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA) in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The position reports to the Manager, Pharmacy Business Systems. Major Responsibilities: Conduct monthly 340B audits of contract pharmacies and in-house pharmacies to verify adherence to the 340B program guidelines and policies and provides results to 340B Compliance Specialist. Assists with maintenance and testing of the 340B inventory management software. Assist in implementing new software package(s) and other changes in business practice based on changing regulations and policies. · Performs other compliance/auditing functions as assigned. Assists in the monitoring of various tracking and reporting measurements to ensure compliance with program. Analyze the data on non-qualified prescriptions to optimize the 340B program to its fullest extent while ensuring compliance and provides findings to 340B Compliance Specialist. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: High school graduate required. Experience/Skills: Required: Min of 3 years' experience in retail pharmacy and /or mixed 340B settings and/or auditing experience required. Strong working knowledge of Pharmacy systems and EMR (both inpatient and ambulatory settings) is essential. Knowledge of 340B splitting software is a significant plus. Strong oral and written communication skills and analytical and presentation skills. Proficient in a variety of computerized software applications such as Microsoft Excel. Preferred: Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.
