Professor - Medicine provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Medicine typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Asst (PA) also known as Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides primary care to patients under the supervision of the Supervising Physician in the clinic following established standards and practices.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
-
Education: Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician Asst program with a Master's Degree level of education is preferred.

License/Certifications: Current license issued by the State of Maine as Nurse Practitioner/Physician Asst with SMHC supervising physician required. Current certification as NP/PA required. BLS certification is required.

Experience: Three or more years of experience in a physician office setting preferred.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Unit specific criteria desired based on specialty. See unit specific statement of clinical competency.
