Asst. Professor - Physics jobs in Colorado

Colorado Associates in Medical Physics (CAMP) is currently seeking a PRN diagnostic medical physicist assistant who will perform clinical medical physics tasks in collaboration with a team of imaging, nuclear medicine, and health physicists under the overall direction of our Chief of Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Physics.

The candidate will be expected to cover some Level One Medical Equipment testing such as radiographic systems and dental systems. Experience with biomedical engineering, radiation safety, quality assurance and quality improvement in a radiation setting, and hospital radiation protection programs is helpful. Any gap in the previously mentioned experience can be bridged with an eagerness and ability to learn as part of our team.

Occasional travel outside of Grand Junction will be required with travel expenses reimbursed. Travel would not require any overnights and would be limited to sites within 1-2 hours of Grand Junction (i.e. Delta, Montrose, Glenwood Springs). This position is estimatd to be approximately 8-20 hours per week, depending on the candidate's skills and availability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree
• At least one year working in a radiation-related field
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to function independently while working as part of an integrated team

CAMP offers a salary based on training and experience with consideration of data from the AAPM Salary Survey ($45-70/hr).

Pay: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour
