Anthony Thomas Melillo (ATM COLLECTION) is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join their development team to support with day-to-day responsibilities that includes measuring samples, updating comments in tech packs, track fit samples from development to production, and organize fit sample libraries.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Assist technical design team with prepping for fittings, -measuring and steaming garments.
• Ensure all notes are captured during fittings for assigned styles; recapping to cross functional teams to confirm all is clear.
• Effectively communicate with factories to ensure product accuracy.
• Understand the development and production cycles/timelines to ensure all technical deadlines are achieved.
• Aid team in executing options, mockups, and advise needed revisions to cross functional teams after Design review
• Raise issues to managers in a timely manner to ensure all potential risks are identified, resolved, and clearly communicated to necessary parties.
• Prepare packages to send/return samples to factories.
• Data entry- uploading photos and entering sample measurements into tech packs.
• Maintain fitting photo library
• Based on experience, the hourly rate of pay $25-$27 an hour / 40-hour work week
Skills and Qualifications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of patterning and pattern corrections
• Strong understanding of garment structures.
• Proficiency in Excel, outlook, and other Microsoft programs
• Willingness to learn Adobe Illustrator
• Degree in Fashion education preferred
