We are currently seeking an estimator to join our team.
We provide summer services to both commercial and residential clients including landscape installation, lawn maintenance, hardscaping, hydro-seeding, material deliveries, sweeping, water truck services, and more. We own/operate a topsoil pit in South Anchorage that supplies both our customers and construction based companies.
We are looking for an individual who is motivated to join our company and assist with our continued growth.
Requirements & Skills:
- Industry Knowledge: Must have extensive knowledge of landscaping, hardscaping, lawn care/maintenance, pruning; providing estimates to clients and training to crew. Ability to read take-offs for commercial build estimates, work with architects to properly assess project.
- Negotiate: Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors or clients for services or materials needed for landscaping projects.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and learn industry specific software to provide estimates, schedule jobs and maintain CRM for customer leads/follow-up
- Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, and oversee landscaping projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain working relations with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Solicit bids for work to be performed and secure materials as needed to maintain competitive edge, quality of product, and timing for delivery.
- Construction Estimating: Knowledge of construction estimating principles to accurately determine the cost of materials, labor, and equipment for landscaping projects.
- Build: Experience in constructing hardscapes such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, or other landscape features to provide accurate estimates and properly oversee job completion.
- Contract: Understanding of contract terms and conditions related to landscaping services.
- Construction Management: Ability to manage construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Price: Skill in determining the appropriate pricing for landscaping services based on factors such as labor costs, materials, equipment usage, and overhead expenses.
- Cost Control: Knowledge of cost control techniques to monitor expenses during landscaping projects.
