Behavioral Home Care Aide jobs in Michigan
Behavioral Home Care Aide provides household management activities and care for patients suffering from mental illness and developmental disabilities. Assists patient with medications and activities of daily living skills, including personal hygiene. Being a Behavioral Home Care Aide establishes a therapeutic relationship with patient and implements treatment plans under the supervision of a professional clinician. May be required to document progress in accordance with established procedures. Additionally, Behavioral Home Care Aide may require previous experience working with patients suffering with behavioral health disorders. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Behavioral Home Care Aide 's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Duties
Assistance With Activities Of Daily Living, Which May Include- Companionship
- Assist with walking and exercise
- Meal preparation
- Assist with personal care (If applicable)
- Errands and grocery shopping
- Light Housekeeping
- And other non-medical services
- Must have Driver's license, current auto insurance, or access to reliable transportation
- Compassionate about the care and well-being of others
- 1-2 years’ experience in caregiving preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be able to physically lift/transfer an adult sized person
- $13. $14. hour based on client level of care, location and availability
