Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral/Mental Health Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism, behavioral health needs, and co-occuring disorders. Duties:
-Complies with all Health Department Behavioral Expectations, County and Department policies and procedures.
- Provide oversight and Mental Health services in a residential setting serving adults with Intellectual and or developmental disabilities or serious and persistent mental illness.
- Facilitate group and individual skills training to assist in promoting community integration and recovery model approach (e.g. cooking, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, nutrition, medications, social skills, communication).
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records
- Work effectively with case managers, crisis workers, families of residents, and others involved to provide well coordinated treatment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with autism and behavioral health needs
- Proficiency in patient care and crisis management
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles
- Strong medical documentation skills
