BILLING CLERK jobs in Arkansas

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and exceptional interpersonal skills. We're looking for someone who also has good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Duties:

- Provide exceptional customer service at the front window of the City Hall lobby
- Take customer payments for water bills
- Enter payments into the water billing software
- Perform mathematical calculations to verify billing amounts
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry of billing information
- Demonstrate professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients

Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in analyzing billing data
- Familiarity with (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards
- Strong understanding of Financial concepts
- Excellent mathematical abilities for accurate calculations
- Experience in telemarketing or customer service is a plus
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles is beneficial
- Ability to perform account analysis efficiently
- Proficient in coding invoices and statements accurately
- High accuracy and speed in data entry tasks
- Professional phone etiquette for effective client communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $14.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
