The Holstein Association seeks a talented Accounts Receivable and Billing Services Manager. This position is located in our Brattleboro, VT office.
Job Purpose:
The Manager, Accounts Receivable & Billing Services is responsible for the daily operations of the accounts receivable department which includes managing the accounts receivable/billing services team. This position ensures the accuracy and timeliness of billing for all products and services, is responsible for cash application and accounts receivable collections, and report generation and analysis.
Major Responsibilities:
· Maintain a working knowledge of the Association’s policies, procedures, programs, products, and services in order to manage the department effectively and answer members and customers’ questions.
· Manage the billing services team including hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, and developing personal growth opportunities.
· Ensure proper billing and collection procedures are followed and documented. Ensure cash application is performed accurately and timely.
· Monitor telephone and written communications by departmental personnel with members and customers ensuring professionalism and quality standards are consistently met.
· Ensure all billing performed by the accounts receivable/billing department is done accurately and timely.
· Conduct analyses of financial data, perform reconciliations, and ensure accurate reporting.
· Generate monthly financial and sales reports, review for accuracy, and communicate any concerns.
· Set up new products in the billing system and update pricing as requested.
· Review and update all standard operating procedures.
· Make recommendations for areas of improvement, efficiency, and/or reduced cost.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, business, or related field, preferred.
· Three years of accounts receivable, business management or financial accounting experience.
· Three years’ experience supervising employees.
Competencies:
· Strong supervisory skills.
