Budget Manager manages and coordinates budgeting activities and the implementation of the organization's budget policies and guidelines. Monitors actual performance against estimates and prepares annual and interim budgets. Being a Budget Manager coordinates budget appropriations and responds to exception requests for funds. Monitors and analyzes performance against budgets. Additionally, Budget Manager implements and supports tools and reporting used for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting. Typically reports to a director. The Budget Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Budget Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Budget Manager will be responsible for daily bookkeeping, payroll, assistance with end-of-month close, audit preparation, and other related duties as assigned.



    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs including preparation of periodic budget forecasts.
    • Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed.
    • Analyze monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) and effectively convey analysis to staff as requested.
    • Assist in preparing year-end books for audit.
    • Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations for any necessary entities.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts as assigned.
    • Process payroll and report payroll taxes for the organization
    • Analytics and Inputs (hours by building) into ExpressTime Data Management System
    • Accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

    • Well organized with good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

    • Organize tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
    • Demonstrate good judgment and good problem-solving skills.
    • Respond appropriately to evaluation and changes in the work setting.
    • Expertise in Excel and QuickBooks and superb attention to detail.

    Compensation: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
