Building and Grounds Supervisor jobs in North Carolina
Building and Grounds Supervisor supervises and trains building and grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas, and the removal of trash and snow. Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Building Maintenance/Groundskeeper
Full Time. 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Very occasional evenings/weekends may be required for special events or emergencies.
Job Description. Building maintenance by making basic repairs and performing preventative maintenance. Arrange for and act as point of contact for outside vendors (plumbers, electricians, etc.) when required. Maintain grounds with zero-turn mower, tractor, and other groundskeeping equipment. Keep equipment well maintained. Also responsible for helping maintain fuel trucks and fuel farm tanks.
Requirements. Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC preferred but not required. Must be comfortable troubleshooting with equipment. Experience in the building trades a plus. Experience in landscaping and using related equipment. Background in team management.
Starting Salary. $16/hour
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
