Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Summary

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the co-manufacturing and food industry, specifically working with CPG brands. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the food production and retail ecosystem.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors within the CPG industry.
    • Understand industry-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
    • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, research and development, and production, to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.
    • Manage and resolve complex customer issues and complaints.
    • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to highlight product features and benefits.
    • Provide periodic sales reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the food industry, specifically with a focus on co-manufacturing and working with CPG brands.
    • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
    • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
    • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer requirements.
    • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with sales performance metrics.
