Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Position Description : Serves as Policy Analyst, Policy Office, OUSD(I&S), by leading and overseeing the policy issuance process (including improvement, transformation, reporting and metrics) and advising on policy related matters for assigned portfolios, to ensure compliance with DoD, ODNI and Statutory guidance.

    Policy Office efforts comply with DoDI and regulatory requirements.

    Includes executing oversight duties and managing policy related correspondence / packages for various senior policy makers;

    reviews pertinent information and materials and suggests courses of action. Provides collaboration across OUSD(I&S) the DIE and DSE for assigned issues and efforts, including engagements at the highest executive levels.

    Conducts and / or represents OUSDI&S at DoD, IC, and inter-agency meetings and working groups to share, determine and develop appropriate programs, processes and pathways and resolve issues affecting policy.

    Accomplishes assigned special projects and, based on guidance received, determines project scope, requirements, and deliverables;

    reviews pertinent information and materials and suggests courses of action.

    • Implements approved project plans to meet objectives; coordinates project activities; determines accuracy and relevance of information;
    • identifies and solves problems arising during project execution; gives presentations and briefings; participates in project reviews;

    and uses sound judgment to evaluate alternatives and make recommendations to the Policy Director and other leaders including the EXDIR.

    Minimum Qualifications Required Candidates must have :

    Knowledge of / experience working under DoDD , the DoD Policy Issuances Program" or similar guidance.

    Experience in DoD or the IC developing and working at the headquarters level or with interaction / engagement with other DoD or IC components.

    Strong written and oral communication skills.

    Ability to interact with senior officials.

    Broad knowledge of Intel and / or Security organizations mission portfolios

    Action officer experience on programs with senior level attention

    General understanding of DoD and IC hierarchies / organizations

    Strong time management / prioritization skills and attention to detail

    Interest in supporting a function in transition and implementing processes to support strategic vision and metrics.

    • Policy development experience in the DoD intelligence and / or security enterprise.
    • Demonstrated ability to build coalitions and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of modern business / process improvement methods and technologies.
    • Demonstrated experience developing innovative solutions to complex process-related challenges.

    Employees at the GG-14, and highly qualified / motivated GG-13 level (and equivalent Bands) will be considered. One position available.
