The Business Office Manager is responsible for organizing and directing Patient Financial Services, including Admissions and Insurance Reimbursement functions. The Manager is responsible for establishing goals and implementing policies and procedures for these departments. He/she is also responsible for serving as a liaison to local industries. A bachelor's degree with an emphasis in finance, management, etc. or equivalent hospital business office management experience is preferred. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9-CM coding is preferred. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs is required. Must work well with and manage multiple personalities and levels of personnel.
