Business Systems Analysis Director directs all aspects of an organization's business systems. Plans and implements technological service strategies within a shared services environment to support business and user needs. Being a Business Systems Analysis Director acts as major liaison with other departments to identify the business system meets the enterprise's needs. Analyzes trends and uses complex data modeling to improve business performance. Additionally, Business Systems Analysis Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Systems Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Business Systems Analysis Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     FedPoint, a versatile administrator of large-scale insurance and benefit programs, is seeking a dynamic Manager to lead our Federal Long Term Care Insurance Plan (FLTCIP) Business Systems Analysis & QA team. You will guide a team of Business System Analysts and Software Testers, ensuring our systems (ICARE and LTCFEDS.com) run smoothly. This role involves collaborating with the Project Management Office, business units, Info Security, Information Technology, and external partners to improve our use of data and technology.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operations and Project Execution:

    • Build strong relationships with FedPoint Managers to understand and meet their system needs.
    • Track system defects and enhancements, ensuring transparency and effectiveness.
    • Support data reporting, execute data changes, and monitor key data controls.
    • Lead business requirement gathering, test planning, and project implementation using Agile methodologies.
    • Monitor workloads to ensure timely and quality delivery.
    • Participate in change control processes and manage production validation.

    People Management

    • Lead and manage your team, setting and aligning individual goals with department objectives.
    • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for staff.
    • Identify and nurture high-potential talent and ensure effective succession planning.
    • Operate effectively within in-person and hybrid teams, fostering adaptability.
    • Provide timely performance feedback and manage employee performance.
    • Promote business acumen, facilitation, and negotiation skills across the team.

    Planning and Resource Allocation:

    • Scope projects, change requests, and defects, resolving associated risks.
    • Manage deviations and develop mitigation plans, escalating conflicts as needed.
    • Prioritize multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
    • Collaborate on budget creation and management.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Certifications or coursework in technology or business / systems analysis, software development lifecycle preferred.
    • Must have 3 years of previous experience managing teams in a business analysis, technology, or benefits administration environment
    • 3 years’ experience in a business analysis or analytical role; including experience gathering and writing business requirements, or equivalent work experience.
    • 3 years' experience working in benefit administration strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies and project management.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of a diverse global and hybrid team.
    • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designations preferred but not required.
    • Must have a proven track record of successful developing staff, including utilizing interpersonal skills and coaching to provide regular, actionable formal and informal feedback.

    This is a Hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in the office. Location: Portsmouth, NH
