RFI Ingredients is an industry leading contract manufacturer of food and supplements,. We are looking to expand upon our Purchasing team with the addition of a Buyer, who will report to our Purchasing Manager. The Buyer will be a key player, whose purpose is primarily to advance the company’s purchasing initiatives and maintain the accuracy of our purchasing systems. This role is expected to possess a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation, to aid us in the continued improvement of our purchasing function.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviewing open purchase orders, confirming accuracy of delivery dates with suppliers, and updating systems to reflect any changes.
• Assisting the Purchasing Manager with purchase order placement, closure, and reconciliation on a regular basis.
• Working with the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy purchase order requirements, and any shortages/overages are documented.
• ·Effectively communicating with suppliers and the management team to ensure all orders are in alignment with production requirements.
• Additional responsibilities as requested by the management team.

Skills & Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• ERP software experience required (Sage X3 a plus)
• Strong Excel knowledge (adept with Pivot Tables & Lookups at a minimum)
• Highly detail-oriented to ensure proper handling of many sensitive data fields.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
