CAD Drafter jobs in North Dakota
CAD Drafter utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Responsibilities:
- Ability to process and draft using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant software
- Download field survey data from data collectors
- Create final survey plans that include existing conditions, certified plot plans, topographic plans, subdivision plans, and ALTA plans
- Must have the ability to multi-task on a variety of projects and meet deadlines within time constraints
- Create preliminary and/or final sketch of proposed drawings, using CAD/drafting equipment
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree of Applied Science in Design & Drafting Technology or CAD Certification, required
- Valid Driver’s License with clean record
- High-level computer and technical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must pass drug/alcohol screening
- Ability to self-manage and communicate with supervisors
- An ability to multitask, manage, and adapt to changing work environments
