Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Description
Position Summary: The Cad Drafter adds value to BAPI and the Manufacturing Team by preparing technical drawings and plans for commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) sensors, documenting and recording work.
Principle Responsibilities:
Documents drawing revision history and product standards.
Draft detail and assembly drawings of design components, circuitry and printed circuit boards, using computer-assisted equipment or standard drafting techniques and devices.
Monitors ECO/NPR systems for follow up and task completion.
Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects and tasks as delegated supervisor.

(P) Associate’s Degree, Trade or Technical School
