Job Description
The Director of Campus Security reports directly to the Vice President for Administrative Services/Treasurer of the College and is responsible for leadership and operations for the College’s Campus Security Department, as well as overall College-wide safety and emergency management operations and activities. This includes developing, implementing, and overseeing security policies and procedures, managing security personnel, and ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Director assists in the enforcement of the Campus Code of Conduct as well as develops and distributes action plans that assist in preparing for emergencies that may occur on campus. The Director is also responsible for compliance with the Clery Act and Drug-Free Schools and Community Act. The Director works closely with all administrative units of the college and the campus community in areas of mutual concern; and is a key member of the Administrative Leadership Team to advance the mission and vision of the College. The position also requires an operational awareness of best practices and national trends related to campus safety/security and legal issues impacting higher education.

Qualifications
10 years law enforcement and supervisory. Bachelor degree preferred.
