Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager plans and implements the overall policies, procedures, and services of the cardiac catheterization lab. Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance with regulations and policies. Primary Function
The Assistant Technical Manager ensures integrity and competency of all staff in the monitor and scrub role. Collaborates with the inventory specialist to promote financial stewardship with inventory management, new products, and billing system. Understands radiologic, all equipment/devices and information technology used in the CCL This includes but not limited to organizing equipment and materials for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, leading staff, inventory purchasing, meeting with company representatives, scheduling preventative maintenance, scheduling in-services, contacting biomed for equipment issues, train new staff, ensure lab environment are within limits to maintain equipment sterility. Run/ Manage reports as requested by Nurse Director, performance improvements, compliance with regulatory standards and business developments. Oversee, educate on waste of equipment /materials. Exhibits financial accountability.
Minimum of 2 years cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology experience. CPR, ACLS certifications required. Strong understanding of designated Cardiac Catheterization Lab instrumentation, equipment, supplies and implants required. This position requires a highly motivated, dependable, well-organized team player who has the ability to motivate others.
