Works closely with hospital staff and physicians to implement standards for patient care that comply with all laws and regulations. Being a Cardiology Director ensures the department meets the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. This position does not require MD. Additionally, Cardiology Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Cardiology Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Come grow with us! We are a busy, privately owned cardiology practice seeking a skilled and experienced Sonographer to join our team. Candidates should have experience in performing transthoracic echo, carotid, arterial & venous peripheral ultrasounds. We offer a great working environment; 4 days/week (4- 10 hour days), no call, no weekends.
Duties:
- Perform quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures
- Obtain patient medical history and explain procedures to patients
- Prepare and maintain equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent
- Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and technology
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
