Description
Under the direction of the Operations Director for Heart and Vascular services, the Diagnostics Manager would be responsible for developing, organizing, and training the teams for each modality. S/he would ensure timely, high-quality diagnostic procedures for Echocardiograms, TEEs (in the Cath Lab), Vascular Ultrasounds, EKGs, and Stress Tests. S/he will be responsible for the development and growth of the Cardiopulmonary rehab lab.
The manager will be responsible for providing leadership to the teams and collaborating with the providers, ordering teams, and leaders of other domains within the organization. S/he will develop and implement plans to increase access to ambulatory testing for all modalities, especially the Echocardiograms and Vascular Ultrasound testing at the main hospital and the Neighborhood clinics.
Job Responsibilities
Develop plans to enhance access to and quality of the diagnostic services, for all modalities, across the health system.
Meet with staff and dyad medical leadership on a monthly (bi-monthly) basis for each of the labs
· Develop quality metrics and share results for continuous improvement
· Engage faculty for accreditation plans and status
· Engage faculty in training and skills development for the teams
· Growth and expansion planning
· Review existing and develop new policies and standards and upload in the GHS policy manager after appropriate approvals.
Ensure that accreditation of the labs, staff credentials, and training are kept current and documented in the respective systems.
Develop processes, training opportunities, and resources to ensure all tests are completed and resulted within the established/target TATs (Turn-around-times).
Develop and implement clinical and administrative policies and processes to ensure the quality of staff and the studies performed by each respective lab are up to respective accreditation standards.
Develop staffing plans to right-size and right-scope staffing
Develop staff and hold everyone accountable to Grady values, mission and goals
Improve recruitment, retention, and staff engagement metrics
Orient and train new staff and teams

Clinical/technical license and experience required
· Preferably a Nurse
· NP license would be a desired plus
