**Responsibilities:**

- Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for patient procedures

- Code and process medical claims accurately using ICD-9 coding standards

- Handle managed care contracts and ensure compliance with billing requirements

- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines

- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the medical office

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation

**Experience:**

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding procedures

- Experience working in a medical office setting

- Knowledge of insurance verification processes

- Familiarity with managed care contracts and billing practices
